The Annual Potomac River Festival kicks off a loud and proud Firemen’s Parade around the point. The festival features a Grand Parade, Pet Parade, Boat Parade, Beauty Pageant, music, food and craft vendors, and fireworks. It is one of our largest events of the year and a fantastically fun filled weekend for the entire family! You won’t want to miss this perfect opportunity to experience The Playground on the Potomac.

Rev up your excitement because the Annual Rod Run to the Beach in Colonial Beach is back, and it’s revving into town with a spectacular lineup of your favorite hot rods, muscle cars, and customized classics! Mark your calendars for this thrilling 2-day car show, which takes place on the third weekend in August. As you wander through the event, you’ll be serenaded by the perfect background tunes, and there will be a tempting array of food and merchandise vendors to satisfy your cravings while you take in the automotive eye candy.

The Water Fest is a fun, family-oriented, 2-day event held on the Colonial Beach Boardwalk. The Water Fest features a bounce house, a water slide, sand and water games and contests, a storyteller, and if you are lucky you might even spot a real-live mermaid!
