Colonial Beach Lighted Boat Parade

Get ready for the dazzling 2024 Colonial Beach Lighted Boat Parade, sponsored by the Colonial Yacht Club! This year, we’re turning up the excitement with more boats than ever, all decked out in spectacular holiday lights. Starting from the Potomac River’s Marker #2 near Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar, the parade route offers prime viewing from Irving Ave and the main pier. Watch as each festively decorated boat glides along, lighting up the river with holiday cheer and making this a memorable experience for both boaters and spectators. Don’t miss this beloved Colonial Beach holiday tradition!
Santa's Wonderland & Winter Festival Parade

Experience the enchantment of the holiday season at Santa’s Wonderland & Winter Festival Parade in Colonial Beach! Town Hill, located at the corner of Colonial and Washington Avenues, transforms into a magical Christmas wonderland adorned with twinkling lights, festive Christmas trees, whimsical elves, and cheerful snowmen. The festivities kick off with a procession of beautifully decorated cars, golf carts, and floats, all leading up to the grand entrance of everyone’s favorite jolly old soul – Santa Claus himself!
Get ready for a holly, jolly time filled with delightful activities. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate, decorate scrumptious cookies, create holiday-themed arts and crafts, cozy up by the fire pit, and let the melodies of Christmas music fill the air. Explore vendor tents for unique gifts and indulge in delicious treats. Don’t miss your chance to write heartfelt letters to Santa and, of course, have your picture taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, spreading holiday cheer to kids and kids-at-heart alike. Santa’s Wonderland and Winter Festival Parade is a joyful way to kick off the holiday season, and it takes place on the first Saturday of December. Don’t miss out on this festive celebration!
